For them, a larger bicycle capable of handling greater loads is preferable. However, at 5'2" and 115 pounds, a lighter bicycle is not only more pleasant for me but also safer. Maneuvering an 80-pound bicycle with additional equipment is challenging for someone of my stature. It would also cause more injury if it toppled onto me after misjudging a pavement edge.
